Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) works to improve the health of lower-income persons 60+ years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA Foods.  Participants must provide identification confirming residency in New Hanover county. An income-based application and approval is necessary to participate.  A box of food is received monthly, including canned meat/protein, shelf-stable milk, grains, canned fruits, and vegetables, as well as a 2lb box of cheese.

Is a food program for any senior citizen 60+ in New Hanover County with a need to supplement their grocery needs. The recipient receives a bag of grocery items including frozen meat, produce, eggs and fruits and vegetables and other daily hygiene items,  when available.

When available, essential non-food items gleaned primarily from local civic and faith-based sources is provided. (Dish and laundry detergent, toilet paper, toothpaste, mouthwash, bath soap, deodorant, shampoo/conditioner, paper towels, body/hand lotion, & plastic storage bags.)

When a participant comes to pick up their food, a brunch snack food item is provided.
